The Pushkar Lake
As per Hindu mythology, the lotus slipped out from Lord Brahma's hand,
struck the earth, water issued forth and the lake was created. There are
countless temples around the lake that add to its divinity.
Brahma Temple in Pushkar
Reputed as the only Brahma Temple in the world, it has a high platform on
which the statue of the Lord Brahma is placed. Inside the temple there is a
big verandah behind the sanctum sanctorum with images of several other
deities.

The complex of five exquisitely carved marble Jain temples are worth
a visit. These beautifully carved temples built between 11th & 13th
century AD are sheer elegance in marble, dedicated to the Jain Tirthankaras.
Gaumukh Temple
Dedicated to Rama, this small temple (the cow's mouth) is centred on a
spring gushing from the mouth of a marble cow. The legends has it that this
is the site of the ancient 'agnikund' fire rituals.
